An antique variety dating back to 1886, Double Sunset Gaillardia (aka Lorenziana) is named for the masses of rolled or quilled florets in brick red and golden yellow hues. Tolerant of high heat and sandy soils, it blooms all summer if deadheaded.
Blanket Flower gaillardia, also known as Firewheel, is an annual North American wildflower has a cone centre, a bit like Echinacea, but surrounded by sunset red petals tipped in gold.
