Who Should Attend: This workshop is for novice and experienced gardeners alike. If you are new to gardening and don’t know where to start, or a more experienced gardener looking to up your vegetable game, we’ve got loads of practical information and advice to share with you!
What We’ll Cover: The overarching focus for the workshop is ecological, sustainable gardening practices, and touches on planting by the moon. We’ll talk about different vegetables and their pests (and how to deal with those), maintaining your garden in peak condition throughout the season, and attracting birds and beneficial bugs. We’ll also dive into composting, direct seeding versus seedlings, home-made fertilizers, and introducing flowers and shrubs as companions for your vegetables.
While we have loads of experience and are eager to share our learnings with you, we also know that everyone who gardens has something to share. So we encourage you to bring not only your questions, but also your ideas to share with the group.
