Burgundy Okra is a very attractive plant that reaches four to five feet in height. Besides producing edible pods, it also functions as an ornamental, with its hibiscus-like creamy-yellow coloured flowers that develop into red-burgundy coloured pods. All pods should be harvested at three to four inches in length, but will remain tender to about six inches. Pods will turn green when cooked.
