Burgundy Okra is a very attractive plant that reaches four to five feet in height. Besides being a great vegetable, it also functions as an ornamental with its hibiscus-like, creamy-yellow coloured flowers that develop into red-burgundy coloured pods. Pods should be harvested at three to four inches in length, but will remain tender to about six inches. Pods will turn green when cooked.
