We live only a short drive away but we felt transported to a magical place that felt like it was from another time. Lori and Lorraine are warm and generous hosts, they take so much pride in their home and organic farm, and they share the beauty of their farm and their delicious produce with their guests in such a gracious and humble way. It was such a pleasure to stay there for six nights and we could have easily stayed for many more. We brought out bikes and had easy access to the Millennium Trail. To round out our most relaxing and rejuvenating experience we also had reflexology treatments with Lorraine while we were there which were definitely the icing on the cake! We are so glad we found this gem and we plan to return every time we are in Prince Edward County!

Hi Lori, Lorraine. We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Thyme Again (Aug 18-21). Being at the "quieter" end of PEC and so close to the cycling trail suited as perfectly. The breakfasts were delicious and we really appreciate you accommodating our later start to the day. Thanks for your warm hospitality ... we hope to see you again soon. BTW, the maple syrup and jams are delicious.

We loved our recent stay at Thyme Again! The farm property itself is gorgeous and the built-in-1875 house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable, with special touches like fresh flowers from the garden sprinkled throughout the shared spaces and in our room. Our hosts Lori and Lorraine were thoughtful, attentive and full of great information about the county and their wonderful organic farming practice. The breakfasts were truly a highlight of our stay. A vast majority of the ingredients of these expertly prepared and delicious meals were grown or produced on the farm: honey and maple syrup; jams, salsas and other preserves; bacon; yoghurt; vegetables; and eggs. The coffee was excellent and Lorraine’s own special tea blend (made from herbs all grown and dried on the property of course) kept my partner’s coughing at bay throughout the night. Before heading home, a stop at the farm stand on their property is a must for a great selection of fresh eggs, preserves, meats, seasonal vegetables, teas and more. We recommend a stay here without equivocation. It’s truly an exceptional experience. And a special shout out to Clarence the wonder dog and the rest of the cast of animal characters we met.

If you are thinking of choosing a place to stay in the Bay of Quinte area, we strongly recommend Thyme Again Gardens on Smokes Point Road at Carrying Place. Any ONE of the following would put Thyme Again among our top five B&B stays ever: 1. The well-maintained house, itself, and its eclectic furnishings and art work; 2. The farm and its restful atmosphere; 3. The gracious, down-to-earth, and hard-working, warm, and welcoming ladies who run it; 4. The creative, sumptuous, and nutritious breakfasts prepared by the same talented ladies and the mini-lessons about the ingredients; 5. The early morning and evening conversations about a wide range of topics, including organic farming, animal care, and local history; 6. Wilbur the donkey and Clarence the Doberman. We will be back in September! (No need to look elsewhere for a place to stay.)

Stayed here last summer in the middle of a drought. The hosts were so friendly and gave us a tour of their lovely farm. Food was amazing and the room was clean and spacious. The washroom was also in excellent state. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our favourite B&B. We plan trips so that we can stay at the farm with Lori and Lorraine and enjoy their warm hospitality, wonderful healthy meals and know that we are contributing to sustainability. The rooms are very comfortable and you can take home fresh, organic eggs and produce from the farm stand as well as meat from the freezer. Add to your stay by treating yourself to a reflexology treatment with Lorraine. And while you’re in The County take in the wineries, food and local artists selling their wares.

Lori and Lorraine. My stay at your place was wonderful, your attention to detail noted from the choice of music playing in the parlour to the spa-like ladies room and the delicious breakfast served at my convenience in the morning. Best of all was the foot massage under the tent out back while the birds played their own music for me. Such a relaxing and comforting place to stay in the county. I wish you continued success.

Our deep-winter escape to Thyme Again Gardens was bliss. We were warmly greeted by Lorraine and the crackle of a wood- burning stove. After a great night’s sleep, we were treated to one of the most delicious, healthy breakfasts that we’ve ever tasted. We can’t wait to return to this B&B in all the seasons!

“Lovely” … We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous B&B. the food was wonderful and often 100% came from the farm! Great for kids and a lovely all around setting. The hosts were wonderful and very informative. We will be back!

We were two couples, travelling to a family event and winery tour. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Lorraine and Lori. The organic farm is a marvel to observe and the gardens are full of surprises and delight. They take ultra care in feeding us foods from their farm or very close by (the bread comes from Wellington) and the quantity, variety and presentation of the breakfasts far surpasses any other B&B we have stayed in. The layout of the house is ideal for visiting…the living room and wrap-around porch is the perfect spot for evening cocktails or morning tea. The bedrooms are all very tastefully decorated and the main bathroom is large, clean and conveniently located at the end of the upper hall. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite 2-piece. We stayed in the Thyme room … very comfortable. Yes, the rooster crows at the crack of dawn. That’s farm living for you! This was our second visit to Thyme Again Gardens. We plan to return again next year.

“Garden of Eden” … We stayed for 3 nights in this big old farmhouse run by a former landscaper come CFA organic farmer. The biggest attraction is the most extraordinary perennial garden which she has created amongst old maples –this is open to enchant the guests at any time. Another couple of minutes away are her organic crops and livestock. Highlight of the stay were her amazing breakfasts, featuring her own produce in cuisine fit to compete with any 5 star organic restaurant in North America. The bedrooms were pleasant farmhouse rooms attractively decorated with comfortable beds – quiet as can be. The fans are noisy but there is a/c which you can use instead (unfortunately we didn’t complain about the noisy fans until the end). Large shared bathroom beautifully renovated with wonderful ceramic tiles, also a 2-piece en-suite for one of the rooms. The entire ground floor and outside balconies are generously made available to the guests, all decorated in tasteful period furniture. Lorraine was extremely helpful in making suggestions about places to visit, and had connections with all sorts of people in the community. We are definitely returning. I thought it was great value. The area itself is fascinating, and so peaceful.

“Lovely B&B, working farm, and amazing hosts!” … The Thyme Again B&B rooms are beautifully appointed and the setting on farm idyllic! Our hosts are truly committed to bringing good food from their very own farm onto the plates of B&B guests and boy do they do a great job of it! I have a number of food constraints (gluten, dairy & sugar free) & was worried that I’d not have a satisfying food experience at Thyme Again. The food was absolutely delicious & fresh from their farm. Lorraine is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and takes great effort to provide her guests good food that nourishes the body & soul!

We had such a wonderful time at Thyme Again. Everything was great from the friendly service, the lovely clean and spacious rooms, and the incredible grounds surrounding the house. We loved it and will recommend a stay to anyone staying in the Prince Edward County area. Also, the breakfast was to die for….couldn’t ask for anything more.

Hi Lori and Lorraine. I just want to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Thyme Again. As soon as we came in the door, your warmth and welcoming hospitality exceeded our expectations. You are wonderful hosts, and it was such a pleasure to chat with you both. Tim and I both commented on how comfortable the bed was and I loved the painted doors. Who is the artist? We both wish we had more time to explore the spectacular gardens. I hope we will get back to see them in bloom! Breakfast was just sublime! The muffins and eggs on veggies really hit the spot and the waffles with your home-made maple syrup were really the crowning touch. Lorraine, thank you for the Reflexology treatment. It was truly a balancing and calming therapy. You have a very kind and caring and considerate approach to your treatments. As I mentioned, I will be encouraging our daughter and son–in-law to visit on one of your “Open Garden” days. I hope our paths will cross again soon.

The three of us were lucky to stay in this treasure trove! It was the small details that mostly enamored us. Lorraine and Lori catered attentively to our tastes and schedules. We loved the peaceful space, the deliciously fresh and homegrown breakfasts and the warm reception throughout. This is a pearl to stay in when you’re taking in the other charms of Prince Edward County.

Better than home. Quaint and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and made from scratch. Hospitality above and beyond. Check trip advisor for pictures. We recommend it highly and we travel all over the world using B&B’s – this is one of the best.

I always have the greatest time when I stay here!! A gorgeous setting, delicious home-cooked breakfasts, friendly hosts and friendly farm animals too :-). Always a relaxing and rejuvenating visit – I’ve recommended your b and b to many of my friends.
